ME, MYSELF AND I

Hello everyone! My name is Kleio Drosou and I have been a teacher for 28 years, which I know must seem like a long time to you. As a teacher, I have taught at language schools (frontistiria) , a private school and several junior and senior high schools. I have a BA and an MA in English Language Teaching. Fun fact: I taught English for 3 years in the 4th Gymnasium (or Junior High School) of Nea Ionia but I left it about 8 years ago and joined the 3rd Lyceum of Nea Ionia teaching staff.

I was born and raised in Pireas (which explains my partiality for Olympiakos) but my grandparents come from three different Greek islands, Kephalonia, Chios and Spetses. I am the oldest child in my family since I've got a younger brother, so I tend to be the serious, dependable and trustworthy sibling. I've got two daughters who are 17 and 14 years old and are absolutely certain that they are much smarter than me.

In my free time, I enjoy going to the movies and to the theatre, and watching series on Netflix. As an avid reader (I am fond of novels and short stories) I collect books so my house is full of them and my family threatens to leave me if I buy any more (but I don't think they mean it) . I'm also into travelling and to be honest I'd love to travel to as many different places as possible and especially abroad (so far I've been to Belgium, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Denmark, Switzerland, Portugal, the UK, Romania and Canada). That is all about me and I look forward to reading about you.

Hello! My name is Christine, I'm 15 years old and currently in my first year of high school. In my free time, I love going out for walks with friends and practicing aerial yoga, which is a great way for me to stay active and relax. I have already earned my English language certificate, and in the future, I hope to achieve my French language certificate as well.

Hello everyone! My name is Dimitris , I am 15 years old and I am a student of the 1st grade of high school. I was born in Athens and also raised here. My grandparents come from Pireus as well as from a mountainous village of Fthiotida. I am the oldest child in my family, since I have a younger sister. As far as foreign languages are concerned, I have already gotten the Proficiency certificate in English and the B1 certificate in Germany. However I am currently continuing my Germany studies in order to earn the B2 certificate. In my free time I enjoy listening to music and going out for walks with my friends because it is a great way for me to escape my daily routine. In addition, I really live watching football matches or going to the stadium especially when my favourite team, Olympiacos. plays. Also, I love travelling in order to make new acquaintances and visit different civillazations from all over the world.

Hello! My name is Anastasia ,I am 14 years old and I am a student of the first grade of high school.I am the oldest child in my family since I have got two younger sisters.In my spare time I like listening to music ,drawing and of course hanging out with my friends.(sometimes I also enjoy reading books)Moreover,I would like to add that ,I have already gotten the proficiency certificate in English and now I am looking forward to start learning a new foreign language.Lastly,I forgot to add that I am keen on travelling.I have visited many Greek islands and cities and despite the fact that I have traveled abroad only once ,my dream is to trave to as many different places as possible in the future.

Hello everybody! My name is Alex, I am 14 years old and a student in the 1st grade of high school. I was born and raised in Athens but my father is from Corfu. I am the youngest child in the family since I have one older sister. In my free time, I enjoy playing the piano, which I have been practicing for seven years, listening to music, going for walks, and redecorating my room. I also love nature and I try to reconnect with it from time to time. Concerning foreign languages, I recently got the Proficiency certificate in English and I am sitting for the B2 exams in French this December. If I had more time, I would like to learn more foreign languages like Italian and Spanish. My dream is to travel all around the world. I have already been to Italy, France, and Egypt but I will travel to many more countries in the future.

Hello everyone!! My name is Vicky, I am 15 years old and I am a student of the 1st grade of high school. I was born and raised in the city of Athens but my grandparents come from Nafpaktia mount and Lamia. I do not admit it to my parents but between my two villages, I will always choose the mountainous village in Lamia. I am the oldest child in my family as I have a ten-year-old sister, something that has a lot of responsibilities and most of the time I have to take care of her. In my free time, I adore listening to music and going out with my friends. In this way, I relax and take some time off from my obligations. Also, I am fond of reading books that have to do with history an adventure and I enjoy watching thriller movies and playing board games with my family. As far as foreign languages are concerned, I have taken the lower certificate in English and in December I am preparing for the proficiency certificate. In addition, I already have gotten the B1 certificate in French and when I finish school it has become my goal to obtain the B2 in French and also to start having Spanish classes. In the future, it is my dream to travel around the world with my friends and visit Franch, Norway to see the fjords and in many other countries.

Hello everyone! My name is Vasiliki, I recently turned 15 years old and I am a student of the 1st grade of junior high school ( I am attending the 3rd high school of Nea Ionia). I was born in Athens from parents of Peloponnesian heritage, who moved here when they were still students. I have a brother who is two years older than me, his name is George and he is also a student of the same school. As for sports, I have been doing track and field sports since I was about 9 years old, but I have been competing solely this past year. When I was younger, I did much more activities such as theatre, dance and I also took swimming classes! Besides Greek, which is my native language, I speak English and French. Last year, I managed to obtain the proficiency certificate in English, in addition to the lower certificate in French. In my free time, I enjoy hanging out with my best friends, with whom we do all kinds of fun activities! Another hobby of mine is listening to music and watching movies. In the near future, I would like to maintain a good performance in the 800m, and also travel abroad!

Hello!My name is Evita I am 15 years old (16 in January)and I am in the first grade of high school .I speak 3 languages (English,French and Greek).In my free time I like to listen to music, play the guitar and read(mostly classics and poetry)My favourite colours are black and red , my best-loved music band is Nirvana and my all time favourite book is metamorphosis by Franz Kafka.I also have two pets a dog named zisis and a rescued bird named tsiou . I enjoy travelling a lot so far I have only been abroad two times ( I have visited Poland and Italy ) but I have been to a lot of places in Greece.My biggest dream is to study medicine in Athens and then move abroad .Also I really want to learn a lot of languages since I enjoy learning about new cultures and being able to speak their language.That’s all about me !

Hello everyone! My name is Danae,I am 15 years old and I'm also a student of the first grade of high school. I am the youngest child in my family since I got an older brother at the age of 20. I have a dog since last summer,her name is Sunny and she's adorable.Concerning foreign languages,I got the proficiency certificate(December '23). I've also tried learning french in the past,but I ended up not really liking it. In my free time enjoy hanging out with friends or family, listening to music, drawing doodles etc. Lastly, in the future I hope to travel abroad to as many places as possible.

Hello! My name is Manos Manousakis and I am a 15-year-old student. I was born in Nea Ionia in Athens and this is where I live with my family. I am an only child. In my free time I play basketball in a team. We train three days a week for one hour each time. On Saturdays I hang out with my friends and we watch our favorite football team's matches. I am a huge fan of Panathinaikos football club and I believe that all other teams,especially Olympiakos, are worthless! I don't like reading books but I like sports and being outdoors. I would like to travel to Dubai and Hawaii because I have heard that they are beautiful places. All in all, people who know me say I am a friendly, easy-going and loyal friend.

My mum is from the island of Naxos while my dad has some relatives in France. I currently can speak greek and english, but I'm also learning french. I've been abroad once when i visited Austria.
