Hi! Have you ever used inversion in a sentence? Well, certainly in questions!

Inversion is when you change the word order in your sentence by placing the auxiliary verb before the subject.

Example: I have never used a dangerous substance (becomes) Never have I used a dangerous substance.

Why would I do this? To give emphasis to the point I am making. In other words. to stress my feelings about what I am saying.

Study INVERSION in your book on pp. 74-75 and do the exercises on pp.76-77.
