In groups (from 2 to 4 students), choose one of the topics involved in Citizenship  and create an inforgraphic or a PPT, which you will present in class. Follows the link C1 to register names and topic (avoid dealing with the same topic unless it focuses on a different aspect:

1. Definition of citizenship and concepts of freedom (types of freedom, what it means to be a responsible citizen, rights and responsibilities, informed citizen).

2. Social solidarity, social sensitivity

3. Active citizenship and the Environment

4. Participation in political life (voting, national, European elections)

5. Violation of rights throughout the world

6. Tax compliance (direct & indirect taxes, tax evasion in Greece/Spain and other European countries, tax havens)

7. Social media/Influencing/Propaganda

8. Volunteerism (NGOs, community volunteerism)

9. Children’s Rights: what they involve, examples, violations

10. Equality and Non-discrimination

Here are some ideas for the short audio (about 1-2') entitled "Tell your story" for the Polish students:

  2. Social Media Trends: Viral challenges, memes, and trends that are circulating on platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and Snapchat.
  3. Friendship and Relationships: Stories about friendships, crushes, dating, and breakups.
  4. School Life: Stories about teachers, classmates, exams, and school events. These can range from funny anecdotes to frustrating experiences.
  5. Overcoming Challenges: Stories about personal growth, overcoming obstacles, or achieving goals.
  6. Humour and Pranks: Funny stories and pranks that they’ve either pulled off or been the victim of. These stories are often shared for a good laugh.

Το KGL Contest είναι ο ταχύτερα αναπτυσσόμενος διαγωνισμός παγκοσμίως και μια διασκεδαστική εμπειρία για τους μαθητές σας. Ο διαγωνισμός απευθύνεται σε όλους τους μαθητές έως 17 ετών, που μαθαίνουν την αγγλική γλώσσα ως ξένη γλώσσα. Τα τεστ του KGL έχουν δημιουργηθεί με τις υψηλότερες ποιοτικές προδιαγραφές και όλα τα επίπεδα είναι διαμορφωμένα σύμφωνα με το CEFR.

 

Ο διαγωνισμός διεξάγεται σε 2 στάδια, διενεργείται για τα επίπεδα Pre-A1, Α1, Α2, Β1, Β2 και το 100% των συμμετεχόντων λαμβάνουν μετά το πρώτο στάδιο, πιστοποιητικό με την συνολική τους βαθμολογία.

 

Το 1ο στάδιο αποτελείται από ερωτήσεις πολλαπλών επιλογών και οι συμμετέχοντες έχουν 60 λεπτά για να ολοκληρώσουν το τεστ (ο χρόνος στο Pre-A1 είναι 45 λεπτά).

Το 2ο στάδιο αποτελείται από τεστ πολλαπλών επιλογών, το οποίο περιλαμβάνει listening, reading & writing. Οι χρόνοι για το 2ο στάδιο είναι:

 

Pre-A1 60 minutes
A1 - 75 minutes
A2 - 80 minutes
B1 - 80 minutes
B2 - 90 minutes

 

Ο finalist σε κάθε επίπεδο, εκτός του επιπέδου Pre-A1, συμμετέχει μαζί με τους finalists από άλλες χώρες σε μία τριήμερη εκδήλωση (Global Winner contest ). Ο Global Winner επιλέγεται με βάση τις επιδόσεις σε ένα τεστ και μια έκθεση και κερδίζει χρηματικό έπαθλο, το οποίο θα χρησιμοποιηθεί για εκπαιδευτικό σκοπό. Βραβεία διανέμονται και στους διαγωνιζόμενους που λαμβάνουν την 1η, 2η, και 3η θέση για κάθε επίπεδο βάση της απόδοσης τους. Για το 2025 το παγκόσμιο μέρος του διαγωνισμού θα πραγματοποιηθεί 02-04/10/2025.
