Unit 2 -Do we all live in the same world?
This units talks about the attempt of refugees to adjust their new surroundings after having fled the war in Syria. Education comes as a priority for them, especially for a young girl, Muzon, who appears as an advocate in the refugee camp.
At the end of the unit, students can:
Talk about the origins their family and draw their family tree.
Draw their story or use IT tools to present it to their fellow students.
Take interviews from refugees or migrants they know and present them in class.
Search the internet and find stories they would like to share. They could find examples
with refugees from their country's history and present them in class.
Prepare a board game with questions related to the issue of this unit.
Search for relevant literature on refugees from their country and make a presentation
in class.
